Despite every interviewer asks you to describe yourself, you have to prepare and give a response tailored to the specific employer to suit its interests and needs.

Important Notes when you introduce yourself:

Make sure you speak with ethusisam and confidence, smile and keep eye contact.

When talking about your working experience, organize what you say:

start with your most relevant working experience and tell how you enjoyed it.

provide details and examples to illustrate your skills, describe a similar situation which the prospective employer might face and how you resolved the challenge.

To conclude, highlight your value and what benefits you will bring to the employer.

Never say something negative about yourself, your past experience or previous employers.

Not just experience, mention any relevant accomplishments

Disclose personal information strategically, e.g. An executive who applys a job requiring frequent travel

can share how he/ she enjoys traveling.

The interviewer may test your language skill by requesting you to introduce yourself in second language

   (English/ Mandarin), so be prepared!
